Milwaukee, Wisconsin will celebrate the 7th Annual Ghost Ships Festival on March 24th and 25th. The Ghost Ships Festival is a conference devoted to Great Lakes’ scuba diving, its maritime history, and the estimated 900 sunken ships in the area.

The schedule for the festival/conference is completely full from 9 in the morning until 10 at night and includes ruminations of long-known wrecks and discussions of recently-discovered wrecks (including the Benjamin Noble; the S.S. Michigan; and the Mahoning, discovered by Divester-reader Brad Ingersoll).

This year there will also be two "Side Scanning for Shipwrecks" classes, which will teach Regular Joes how to find sunken ships. Pre-registration is required for the classes. Tickets for the festival are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event.
